Adventist Medical Center Dietician Selected to Speak for Regional Conference
Adventist Medical Center ’s Registered Dietitian Robyn Velander, RD, LD will be the guest speaker for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s 2012 educational seminar on Thursday, May 31. Velander, will address the impact nutrition has on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) for both adults and kids. It is estimated that 1.4 million Americans suffer from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.
The educational program is designed for patients, families and caregivers throughout the Northwest living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. “It’s an honor to share the latest research on nutrition choices for adults and kids living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis,” states Velander who has been caring for patients with dietary challenges for the past 10 years.
