Adventist Health Wins 2010 Aster Awards

Adventist Health, a leading nonprofit health system serving the metropolitan area of Portland, Ore., has received two 2010 Aster Awards for excellence in marketing. The Aster Awards is an annual medical marketing awards program allowing healthcare organizations and advertising agencies to compete against similar-sized competitors from around the globe. Adventist Health earned a gold recognition in the category of newsletter/external communication series for its 2009 “Health for Life” publication. The health system received silver recognition in the total advertising campaigns category for its “Care You Can Have Faith In” campaign.

Gold Recognition: Adventist Health “Health for Life” Newsletter
Adventist Health’s “Health for Life” series is a bi-monthly community health publication distributed to nearly 60,000 households in the Portland metropolitan area. The newsletter is designed to help the community focus on wellness and disease prevention. It contains valuable health care information for the enrichment of people's lives. The newsletter promotes Adventist Health's service lines and expanding technologies, events and physicians. “Health for Life” was developed in partnership with Coffey Communications of Walla Walla, Wash.

Silver Recognition: Adventist Health “Care You Can Have Faith In” Campaign
Adventist Health’s “Care You Can Have Faith In” campaign is a comprehensive advertising program developed as a brand positioning line to couple the faith based mission of the health system with the trust and confidence people put in their physicians and caregivers. The campaign launched in 2009 and is a constant reminder that the mission of Adventist Health was designed with the patient in mind. “Care You Can Have Faith In” was developed by Adventist Health in conjunction with Coates Kokes of Portland, Ore.

The campaign was also recognized by Healthcare Marketing Report in the publication’s 27th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards.
